I. Consultancies:
1. Assigned to WHO office/ Iraq on 31st March 1998 until Nov. 2003 under Security Council Resolution 986 to participate in implementing the observation plan for MOU drugs as required; to participate in developing a proper methodology for drugs needs assessment; to assist in improving drug supply system.
Since June 1999, upon the request of WHO/EMRO, assigned to assist in coordinating and monitoring of SCR 986 programme execution which includes collecting and analyzing specific information pertaining to the distribution of health commodities, development of health and health related programmes; to organize the generation and smooth flow of information and implementing reporting systems relevant to observation process and other routine and ad hoc report; to provide technical support to the pharmaceutical supply system in the three northern governorates; to assist in supervising and coordinating the functions of technical operations divisions and staff attached to these divisions (more than 25); and performing other duties assigned by WR/Iraq.
2. Assigned to WHO office of Syria to act as a team leader of WHO Iraq team in Syria during the evacuation, March 2003.
3. Assigned to WHO/EMRO office to assist in finalization of 90 Day Emergency Plan for Iraq 11 – 24 May 2003.
4. Assigned by EMRO to visit New York from 16th to 24th March, 2002 according to the terms of reference listed below:
• To accompany WHO team to meetings with officials of the Office of Iraqi Programme (OIP) and the sanction committee 661.
• To provide technical assistance related to the above meetings.
5. Assigned to WHO Representative – Jordan from 16 – 17 October 2003, to:
• Review the emergency health plan influx of Iraqi refuges
• Assess drugs needs of the expected internal displacements
• Assess the technical support to be provided to WRO – Jordan
6. Assigned to WHO office, Afghanistan from 26 July to 8 September 1991 to review the procedure for chemical analysis at Central Quality Control Laboratory; to train nationals on chemical analysis of drugs; to conduct training courses on chemical quality control.
7. Assigned by WHO/EMRO to participate in the technical briefing seminar that took place in WHO/HQ (Geneva) in October 2003.
8. Assigned to WHO/EMRO to assist in the translation of the several of WHO publications into Arabic such as Managing Drug Supply, Guide to Good Prescribing, New emergency health kit etc.
9. Assigned to WHO/EMRO to participate in the following Inter-country meetings:
- The role of clinical pharmacology in medical and pharmacy curricula in Ismailia, Egypt, 19- 21 November 1993. The applicant has prepared the final technical report.

10. Assigned to WHO/EMRO to translate several of WHO publication into Arabic (Managing Drug Supply, Guide to Good Prescribing, New Emergency Health Kit etc)

II. Academic Experience
1. Teaching: more than 25 years teaching experiences for undergraduate and graduate students in several universities in Egypt, Lebanon, Ethiopia, Jordan and Denmark, and supervised 6 master and PhD thesis.
2. Publications: The applicant has published 37 research articles in international specialized journals in the area of drug design of anti-cancer, antihistaminic, contraceptive etc...
